Tuesday 15 June 1999 - 8.30pm - Do You Fancy Me?

"A pity tonight's programme didn't kick off the series which began last week because by the end of this show you'll really be rooting for Pippa and Steve. They're clients of a dating agency called Kids No Object: the enterprising brainchild of Pauline Jacobs who realised 13 years ago that there was a gap in the market for single parents with children searching for new partners but lacking the necessary ease to organise encounters. Susan Tully (formerly Michelle Fowler in EastEnders) narrates what looks like being a true love story."

This "fly-on-the-wall" 30-minute documentary followed the progress of two KNO members from their first tentative contact and nervous early dates, right through to their eventual visit to the KNO offices to say "thank you so much, please take us off your books"!

It was a wonderful tribute to Pippa & Steve - both busy single parents holding down full-time jobs as well as living some distance apart - demonstrating how all obstacles in the path of true love can eventually be overcome.
