Safety

• For your safety, all Upgraded members' names & addresses are verified. We do not allow members to upgrade using work addresses, PO Box nos, or someone else's address.
  
  
• You will never receive spam as a result of registering your e-mail address with KNO Dating.  Your private email address is stored in our database under several security layers, and never revealed to other members or passed to third parties.
  
  
• Similarly, any other information we hold on you will not be passed on to any other commercial organisation, members of the public, or sold as part of a mailing list.
  
  
• UNIQUE TO KNO! All Upgraded members are required to declare that they have never been convicted of an offence of a sexual nature, and must also consent to their details being checked against the Register of Sexual Offenders.
  
  
• Release of alternative contact details for off-line members carefully monitored - only available to Upgraded members:
  
  
  • Your real phone number(s) are never released to anyone.  When you Upgrade, if you select mobile and/or landline as an alternative method of contact, these numbers will be allocated a CallSafe number which, when dialled, re-directs calls from other members to your landline, mobile or both (depending on your preferences).  Selected off-line members will only be given your *CallSafe number in the form of printed profiles sent to their home address, and receipt of this information logged on their records.
    
  • You also have the choice of having your CallSafe number visible to other Upgraded members on the site.  If you don't want this to be visible, there is an option on your Account page to switch this off.
    
    
  • If you do not wish to be contacted by phone, we can arrange for off-line members to leave you a Voicemail message which you can play back through your computer speakers.
    
    
  • Off-line members' alternative contact details (CallSafe number) will NOT be visible on the site. Should you wish to contact a member who doesn't have an e-mail address, alternative contact details will be e-mailed to you on request, and receipt of this information recorded on your admin records (only available to Upgraded members).

Dating Safety:

• Do not agree to meet anyone unless you have exchanged a number of phone calls. Ensure you note down the membership number and phone numbers of the person you are meeting and keep them safe.
• Do not agree to meet anyone who has not provided you with a membership number.
• Never divulge your surname, home address or workplace until you feel comfortable in doing so.
• Do not arrange to meet in secluded places.
• Do not accept lifts.
• Do not invite ANYONE to your home after the first date (and don't agree to visit theirs). Wait until you get to know them better.

Feedback/Complaints about other Members:

If any member gives you any cause for concern, you may rest assured that you can contact us in complete confidence, and we will deal with the problem. We are committed to maintaining high standards in our membership.  Simply e-mail us at help@kno.org.uk  stating your name and membership number, and the name and membership number of the person concerned.
